62. Justin Timberlake - FutureSex/LoveSounds

I'm going to come out to you right now and say it. I love him. Not in a "I want to be your concubine and have your love child" way. More like, I just dig him. I think he's talented and funny and charming and his music makes me shake like I've got ants in my pants.

I really like this album. It's a good disc to have in the car on a warm summer night, when you're maybe running errands or doing something mundane and you want to pretend that you're in some stylized music video and everything, including you, is sleek and sexy and beautiful in an MTV sort of way.

It's groovy. It's funky. It's got a good beat and god damn it, I can shake my ass to it. I'm not going to be embarrassed by this CD because listening to it makes me feel good. Justin Timberlake makes me feel good.

Did I just say that out loud?

Listen, you know damn well that you have musical skeletons in your closet. At least I bring mine out for everyone to see. You may want to say snarky things to me about my love of JT, but I don't see you coming clean about your Air Supply albums. I don't see you raising your hand when I ask who was into Damn Yankees back in the day. So don't you be making fun of me when you hide your shame underneath a pile of blankets in your bedroom closet.

Maybe you love JT, too.

Maybe you are glad sexy's back.

Maybe you can join hands with me and say:

If sexy never left, then why's everybody on my shit?

Favorite song: Sexy Back, of course
Dick in a Box

It's not my cup of tea musically, but I do think he's funny and talented. I thought he was one of the best things about Black Snake Moan.

I was so happy to read this post. love Justin Timberlake and this CD in particular, but I cannot tell you the abuse I have taken.

And that was in private.

You are one very brave woman.

I've said before, tongue in cheek, that I'm gay for JT. I do like the kid. He's charming. And I like his music. I'm not afraid to admit it.

I am gay for Henry Rollins and Christina Aguilera, but those are comments for different albums.

Hey I don't want to hear it. I am a proud Bon Jovi fan so there.

I don't like JT's music, but I do like the fact that he doesn't take himself too seriously. That "Dick In A Box" thing he did on SNL was hilarious.

Personally, after "Dick in a Box" I believe the man can do no wrong. Anyone who can BURN his own genre, who can make fun of himself so savagely, deserves all the props he can get. He's funny, he can act...well, and while I'm not into white boy R&B, I don't turn off his songs when they come on the radio.

I also love JT, for the exact same reasons. And I can just think of the SNL clip for Dick in a Box, and laugh, and consider it one of the funniest moments ever on SNL.

Well, I share a last name with the guy, and when N'SYNC was big we got late night phone calls from every slumber party in town; the first ten were funny, but after that it got really tiresome.

Maybe if I just listened to his later material I wouldn't be reminded of that year.
